Join us on 25 June 2026 at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon, France, for the launch of the WCT Evidence Explorer tool. The event will take place on site, with the option to participate remotely.
This one-day event will introduce the WHO Classification of Tumours (WCT) Evidence Explorer, an innovative decision support tool designed to strengthen evidence-based cancer classification and pathology, and will provide a forum to discuss current developments in evidence-based pathology.
Developed within the European Union (EU)-funded project titled Mapping the Evidence for the WHO Classification of Tumours: a Living Evidence Gap Map by Tumour Type (WCT EVI MAP), under the umbrella of the International Collaboration for Cancer Classification and Research (IC3R), the WCT Evidence Explorer tool uses evidence gap maps to help users explore existing research, identify knowledge gaps, and support transparent, data-driven decision-making related to the WHO Classification of Tumours.
Participants will have the opportunity to test and explore the tool, discover its key features, and see how it can be used by researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, and citizens. The event will also showcase project results, enable engagement with the project team, and foster connections among users and stakeholders shaping the future of evidence-based pathology.
Information on hotels near IARC will be provided upon registration confirmation.
